Dr. Yvonne Burgos
Dr. Burgos obtained her Psy.D. from Alliant International University. Dr. Burgos has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Burgos has provided services addressing transitional issues, problems related to child protective services or the law, grief, trauma, parenting, family issues related to divorce, anger management, domestic violence, men or female issues, relationship issues, and substance abuse.
Dr. Burgos has worked in an inpatient, outpatient, community mental health center, and private practice. Dr. Burgos also has experience working with the Forensic population and teaching life skills.
Dr. Burgos also supervises two psychological assistants that provide individual therapy at a reduced fee. Contact the office for more information on the services that you are interested in.

I'm a Licensed Psychologist.
Fluent in Spanish & English.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and approach the therapy with a trauma-informed perspective. I also have experience conducting birth to five assessments.

I work with Department of Mental Health Juvenile Justice Detention Center with juvenile justice youth.
2017-Present
I provide individual therapy to adults, adolescents, and children with Advanced Psychological Wellness, a group private practice.
2014-2018
I worked with Department Mental Health, Specialized Foster care. I conducted psychological assessments to children involved with Department of Children and Family Services and linked the children to appropriate mental health services.
2012-2014
I worked at a transitional step-down agency with adults who suffered from severe mental illness and were transitioning from a locked institution to the community.
